The client of this walled courtyard garden found the space ugly and impractical - with a small square of lawn, no planting except in small pots & poor storage, the garden was rarely used.

The design concentrated on changing the layout & how the garden was used, & introducing warm natural materials in a contemporary way. An outdoor fireplace adds a key focal point.
